Damn, would have loved to win that snare for the mere price of a $5.00 raffle ticket instead of paying the full price of $349.99 plus tax back when it was first introduced. Hey, it was well worth it. Plus he signed the drum head for me later on after a Purple show. What a great snare though. I of course changed the head and don’t beat on it.

    Cheers

Have one myself and will be taking it with me on the 13th to have Paicy sign it and add it to my ever growing collection of Purple memorabilia. Nice job by Just drums setting this up by the way.

I bought Ian’s signature snare when it came out years back. Best snare i’ve ever used! When you hit a rim shot it gets people’s attention for sure!

I thoroughly enjoyed the clinic Paicey did in Utrecht, way back in the 90’s.

Must have been 1995 or so.
The ADVANCE tape of Stranger In Us All was a very hot item amongst us who went to the clinic.

I will never understand why Bonham, Peirt and Moon are rated above Paice…never…

Tracy Heyder (Zero the Hero) says:

Roberto, it’s about band popularity and exposure. Even Charlie Watts from the Stones gets more notoriety. Come On!!!!

Nothing is fair in this world… I’ve seen Ringo Starr on some best drummers lists. According to John Lennon Ringo isn’t even the best drummer in the Beatles…

Feb 15, 2012 Winnipeg, Canada.. Just wanted to send a thank you to Mr. Paice for tossing me “The Stick” as he left the stage for the final time. That was a long throw Ian & you gave me a shot at it & there was no bloody way I wasn’t coming down with that one. Truly the greatest catch of my life… sorry honey! Deep Purple Live in Winnipeg, who would have thought. Great night for us.
