Nick Simper is scheduled to be interviewed by Roger Day on BBC Radio Kent at 19.30 GMT on Tuesday, September 1. The show is also syndicated to other local BBC stations; Solent, Surrey, Sussex, Oxford and Berkshire.
It can be listened to worldwide on the Internet directly from the BBC’s web site (RealPlayer required).
Thanks to Jerry Bloom for the info.
My apologies as I have just realised the BBC website broadcasts cannot be accessed outside the UK as far as I am aware.

August 26th, 2009 at 15:22I m actually living in the 19th century……
I’m still living in 1971, my favourite year!
August 27th, 2009 at 13:35Hi Jerry
Maybe because you were born then?
August 27th, 2009 at 21:23Or is because DP was at its REAL peak then?
I wish a recording of 1971 could be released in excellent quality like Stockholm 1970
DARN, EVERYTHING should be re issued with the quality of Stockholm 1970!!!!
@7
August 28th, 2009 at 13:21Problem is, very little MUSIC is of the same quality as Stockholm 1970…
I was born a few years before ’71 though, and have good memories of it, hence my desire to re-visit it once I have acquired a time machine! Couldn’t agree more about Stockholm 70, it’s ace, and I think musically ’71 was the peak for Purple. Like you say, not much in the way of decent recordings from that year though.
August 30th, 2009 at 14:14Longbeach 1971?
August 30th, 2009 at 22:49Can I join you on that Time Machine trip, please?
