So amusing. I have in a folder somewhere all the interviews he gave to Brazilian rock magazines (and most newspaper interviews) back then. It was a great year for rock in Brazil overall. After years of shortage, in a matter of months we had only in Porto Alegre, the city I lived back then: Ian Gillan (May), Black Sabbath with Dio (July), Iron Maiden supported by Thunder (August) and even Skid Row (September).

    That’s the TB Teaser t-shirt.

seems he enjoys to pi$$ off “banjo player” but we know better that Ritchie is best guitar player last 50 years or so 😉

Doesn’t seem to have much of a voice in this ….

With a Tommy Bolin Teaser T-Shirt…probably a subliminal message for Ritchie.
The way he sees his departure from Purple…well the truth is that he was fired ! And was happy to come back and sing on The Battle Rages On the songs composed by the same people who did “boring” songs from Slaves and Masters !

    Douglas garcia says:

The Tommy Bolin shirt begs the question: If Blackmore had quit in 73 and Gillan stayed in Purple with Bolin replacing Blackmore, What would it have sounded like?

    Klaus Thiel-Klenner says:

interesting T-Shirt with “best wishes” to a certain guitar player I guess 😉 🙂

I remember seeing Sabbath live in Copenhagen with IG as singer, and can honestly say I blame that concert for damaging my hearing permanently. Still, it was very good, although there was some evidence of IG not knowing the lyrics completely, but thats another story.

    The shirt is priceless…

Perhaps Mr. Blackmore could wear a Joe Satriani-shirt while playing the Rainbow reprise-concerts!

    Have a nice Day!

I guess some would view this as a rare sighting.

    Rock Voorne says:

Gillan still is not able to deal with the fact that DP made great music without him but does not have a problem with Tommy Bolin.
    Welcome in Gillans head.
