Deep Purple on BBC Radio
BBC Radio 2
(U.K.) will broadcast 1 hour Deep Purple special on New Years Day (January 1) at
21.00 - 22.00 (local time). The program is called "Master
Of Rock" and will be hosted by
Bruce
Dickinson (Iron Maiden). It's possible to listen to the show on the internet

Interview with Roger Glover
The German Deep Purple online-fan-club "The
Aviator" did an interview with Roger Glover last month. Here is a few bits.
"Between "Contact Lost" and "Well Dressed", the feeling was
"Contact Lost" should be on the album, "Well Dressed" not. That's a tough
decision, and I wasn't in favour, if it was up to me, I'd have put everything
on."
"Somewhere round about the end of next year we'll go and do a writing session,
or something like that, that's a vague thought. But we certainly don't want to
leave it five years for the next studio album."

Letter from Roger Glover
Roger Glover took some time off and wrote a letter
about the Bananas tour in Europe, among other
things.
"Next we do the US and travel will be by plane, for the most part. After that,
the year will be a busy one but we are all looking forward to spreading bananas
around the globe."

Ticket pre-sale passwords
For some of the North American tour dates, you can
participate in a pre-sale of tickets if you have a secret password. Some ticket
vendors claim that this password should be available from a "Deep Purple web
site". We haven't received any information at all about these passwords and it
doesn't seem any other Deep Purple web site has either. If we get any
information, the information will be available on our
tour dates page. You will not get any
additional information by mailing us.

Convention In Italy
There will be a
Deep Purple and Family Convention Tribute in Italy next year. The convention
is called "Burn Anniversary 1974-2004" and will take place the 31th of January
2004, at the Teatro Aurora in Marghera (Venice). During the day, there will be a
sort of display/exhibition of Deep Purple stuff (vinyl's, memorabilia, etc.) and
the entrance is free (from 10:00 to 19:30). In the evening (starting at 20:30),
a series of tribute bands will play, Deepest Zone, Purple Eyes,
Purple Sucker,
Leader Ship, and
Elprup Peed. The entrance will
be EUR 5. The proceedings will be donated to charity. There will be a raffle for
2 backstage passes for the upcoming Deep Purple Italian dates (Not confirmed yet)

There will be a report on German TV tonight, about
Deep Purple's 35th anniversary with live-shots and behind-the-scenes-material,
filmed in
Munich on October 31. The report will be on the German news channel "N-TV"

It will be broadcast again on Saturday November 8 at
