Who Do We Think We Are!

Update! New WDWTWA! special. Reviews, pictures, lyrics, links and more.

Update! Amazon.com are now showing WDWTWA! as an import. OK, so it's $22.99 and 4-6 weeks delivery, but you can be darn sure that when you all hit it at the same time you'll get their attention. Some impatient US folk have had good results and good value importing from the UK, so that's an option too.

(DaveH) - The remastered WDWTWA! has finally hit the streets in Europe and the rest of the world (except America). I won't argue with anyone whether this is the best Purple album ever, but it's my favourite. For those who are in the catchment area and don't want to pay over the odds on the high street (like I did), you can pick it up from Amazon.co.uk

The Highway Store

After a couple of years supplying fans with otherwise hard to get Deep Purple stuph, Ed and Chris Janx have decided to bow out. They've worked immensely hard keeping us addicts stocked and please join me in wishing them all well in getting their lives back!

A look back: the 15th anniversary of the reunion

Perth (The Highway Star) -- Has it already been fifteen years since Deep Purple's triumphant return with the Perfect Strangers album and tour? Revisit that historic comeback concert on November 27, 1984 in Perth, Australia, as we present another installment of our ongoing Classic Concert series.

Relive the Royal Albert Hall experience

The CD, video and DVD of the Royal Albert Hall concerts in September 1999 has been released in Europe and will be released in USA any day now and the reviews tell us of an album that it is all we've been waiting for and then some. The album is a double CD set containing most of the concert and a bonus MPEG video of "Smoke on the water" featuring all the all-star guests. Get prepared for the big release with sound clips, pictures, comments from band members and reviews of the album in our RAH CD special and read reviews and look at pictures of the concert in our reviews section.

Look out for clinics
Both Steve Morse and Ian Paice has been seen doing clinics in several places during this tour so keep an eye for announcements about this in big music stores in th towns where the tour passes by. We don't get much info about these clinics for some reason and sometimes they are booked on very short notice but if we find out about any clinics, we'll post the dates on the tour dates page. As usual, if you hear anything, please let us know.

26 September
Spitfire to release a bunch of new old stuff
March next year will be time to fill in the inexcusable gaps in the collection when Spitfire release a slew of reissues at a nice price. Of particular interest will be Jon Lord's Sarabande and Roger Glover's Butterfly Ball.
Thanks to Steve @ Spitfire for this.
