Why buy Deep Purple items through here?
The Highway Star is run by a group of fans, who do it for free in our spare time with some help from a number of contributors and from fans around the world. However, although our effort is free, the monthly costs for hosting and traffic at The Highway Star is not.
For the past ten years The Highway Star has been able to address these costs, first through the donation of hosting space and then by financial support from Deep Purple. Unfortunately, now that they have their own corporate website, this support is no longer available to us and we have to look for other means of coming up with enough money every month to be able to run this site.
One of the ways we can raise funds is through affiliate programs at online stores such as Amazon, where if we refer a sale to them, we get a small percentage back. Therefore, if you buy your Deep Purple items by using the links we provide, then they know we sent you to the store and credit us with the sale. Note that it doesn’t cost you anything extra, and by using our referral links you support us and help keep The Highway Star alive — and also, as long as you entered their store using our link, then everything (not just DP stuff) you purchase there during that session gets us a credit! Unauthorized copying, while sometimes necessary, is never as good as the real thing
Good, when first I heard about Rapture of the Deep CD, I bought it in Tbilisi local store, but it was awfull. NO ORIGINAL COPIES OF ANY INTERNATIONAL ARTISTS ARE SOLD IN TBILISI. Every CD, sold in Tbilisi are pirate copies which are realased in Moscow. Moscow is one of the greatest center of music pirates. As I found out, more than 3 000 copies of Rapture sold in Tbilisi, during 1st month. (only 1 500 000 people lives in Tbilisi). and the price of CD was 7 laris (about 4 $)
So, dear Deep Purple management, if you reduce music pirates number in Moscow, You will gain a quite more profit from original CDs.
Then I entered ths.com shop, and I bought original copy of Rapture of the Deep from amazon.com. Difference between original and pirate copy of Rapture was like earth and sky.
Please, think about reducing music pirates number in Moscow… You’ll gain the money, and we’ll have the perfect quality CDs
