Rainbow vorwärts

Rainbow vorwärts cover art

The latest incarnation of Rainbow has recorded a grand total of 4 “new old” tracks over the years: Waiting for a Sign (a Stranger in Us All outtake), remakes of I Surrender, Black Sheep of the Family, and Blackmore’s Night’s The Storm. These 4 tracks will be put on a limited edition EP CD to be sold on the upcoming in June Rainbow shows as merchandise. The EP is called Rainbow vorwärts (“vorwärts” is German for “forward”).

Thanks to Lutz Reinert for the info.

Plus a new track to make it really atractive…

What a silly name for this EP.

Mr.Blackmore is getting old. He lost his bite and his spontanity on stage …
The “new” titel is the same like in Blackmores Night, only playing with his electric guitar.

Has he a money problem ? This is only the commercialization to his and the Rainbow name, nothing else …

He said, he is only playing for fun and for nostalgic reasons …
Maybe, but without the well-known BLACKMORE-FIRE

    It´s a shame …

I prefer to watch a “well-known Blackmore” with DEMONS EYE (the best Deep Purple/Rainbow/Blackmore -Tritute Band from Germany) and his superb axe-man Mark Zyk !!!!!!!!!

    See you

    Long Live le élite.
You miss the respect for the fans from over the world.

  16. 16
    Wolf Cratch says:

I would buy it solely because Ritchie put it out but the drum machine takes away so much from the atmosphere of music.

Everything would come together if Ritchie had a rhythm section that could bring the thunder.

  17. 17
    Eyal Ol says:

Falling a sleep from boring unneeded matirials… seems like blackmore needs some donations…

  18. 18
    Jean says:

I’m pretty sure people will buy it and be happy.

I think it’s funny how people systematically complain about living musicians doing their things. About Gillan, about Steve Morse, about Glenn Hughes. The only one who was still untouched, the mighty Blackmore, is now under haters’ fire, too…

  19. 19
    Alket Kellici says:

no more of these “recycling” poppy sounding so called rock. Please stick with Balkmore’s Night Ritchie! The rhythm section is a joke!

    Stephen Hughes says:

    Great 🤘🏼

    francis says:

dommage cela à été un grand guitariste…finir comme cela à vendre pour vendre! il aurait fait un album de reprise à la limite mais là….

  22. 22
    Ade Dennis says:

Why call it Rainbow Forwards when he’s clearly going backwards with these 4 tracks!

  23. 23
    jose ojeda says:

ritchie please get rid of that rhythm section. so boring

  24. 24
    Blackwood Richmore says:

    My crackpot thought:
Don’t know if it’s possible or legal, but just wondering if there’s somebody out there who is capable of, taking these 4 songs & adding tracks to them… real drums & keyboards & whatever else needed… then put them up on the internet (anomymously!) for the rest of us to review.

    It’s just a thought!. 😕
