‘Tis the season

The season is upon us and Steve Morse sends his thoughts:

Holiday Time is here. The reason I know that is that I’m home and can see all the traffic in town. Before any greetings, let me voice all of our sorrow for the tragic murder of all of those children and staff in Connecticut.

Deep Purple’s new album is officially in April. I’ve just listened to some of the mixes and it’s a great sounding album. Flying Colors will be doing a live DVD and apparently, CD of the same performance around that same time, but no official date that I’ve heard.

Thanks to Steve for the wishes.
I live within a 15 minute drive to Sandy Hook and a couple of patients have had CLOSE connections to some of the victims. It has been a sad and somber time around here and Christmas just doesn’t seem the same this year.
Can we just learn to Love a little more?

Merry Christmas to all the band and the fans, with a new album in 2013 it will be an awesome New Year.
While our opinions vary from time to time we are all still fans of the best band in the world. So I hope for a US tour in 2013 (maybe not since the r- n- r hall of shame dumped on our band) and good will to “ALL PURPLE FANS on this site! Merry Christmas, happy holidays and Happy New Year…………
    Cheers, Stoffer

Though the passing of the great maestro earlier this year of 2012 poured a black cloud of sorrow into the hearts of all Purpledom, some of the darkness will be brightened with the welcome and long overdue Purple album in 2013. Now it also will be accompanied by a live DVD offering from Flying Colors. 2013 will help heal the wounds from the loss of Lordy for sure. The wounds won’t heal without scars though. There will always be a reminder of the Great one whenever the ‘Beast’ hits a strong note. Don Airey will more than likely up the anti in his playing. I believe he will be invigorated beyond his normal range of prowess, as will the rest. There will be a noticeable revitalizing of some past energy, familiar ton us all from the ‘good old days’. Coupled with a live performance of Flying Colors is magnificent. Loved the studio album. Can’t wait to hear and see the live DVD.

Merry Christmas to ALL here at THS and to the Band that this site honors so well.
We are going to be blessed with a fantastic New Year. Not a bad late Christmas gift at all. Christmas comes in April next year….
