Bernie Marsden’s Icons
A posthumous Bernie Marsden album was released on May 9, 2025. It is called Icons and continues the Inspiration series of cover albums he started several years ago to pay tribute to the artists that were influential on his music. The album includes two Bernie’s originals — Kestrel and Barford Blues, the rest are covers.

May 15th, 2025 at 19:13This Calling Card tribute to Rory is a good version, although heavily edited. The original cover goes to about 5.20 minutes or so. Didn’t Roger Glover highlight this song as his favourite from the Calling Card album? There are some good Rory Gallagher cover songs on Bernie’s tribute album to him. Below is a very nice tribute to Bernie from Donal Gallagher following Bernie’s passing. Almost 30 years since Rory’s passing in June 1995, what a blow that was.
