Reason for the things we had to do

While the rest of us are pondering whether an album of covers will taint reputation of the band, Elizabeth the opera singer digs into the shadow vowels and intricacies of glottis control.

Sorry to be negative but I am sick and tired of all this super analysis of classic songs. It’s taking time from enjoying the song in the first place.
Just like when Ian Gillan was asking the new generation to stop recording DP live songs in concerts and to put their phones down and enjoy the moment.
But there is a market for it as thousands click on watching these YouTube clips.
    Peace

I wonder if she knows Ian sang the part of Jesus Christ on Jesus Christ Superstar? I find it fascinating that I’ve heard all Deep Purple songs like a million times and this is new to her.

This was the first LIVE version of WABMC that I ever heard,3 years or so before it became a pillar of the MkMorse set list. It is still a fine rendition.
Elizabeth’s awe-struck reaction to Gillan’s vocal finale, speaks to the power and control he had in the early 90s.
On the other hand, Steve Morris’s whammy bar dive was controlled, too, but it caused quite a visceral, pained look on her face.

What is is with these reaction videos?

Do we really need some ‘expert’ to analyse everything?

    What a world we inhabit!

I think this is fun – we talk about the music and the details of it all the time, argueing why Ritchie is better than Steve and vice versa being only the tip of the iceberg.

So I totally understand that once someone starts making these reactions, fans from every relevant artist swarm the comments reccomending their favorite band, happy to share what they know is great with someone who might like it and doesn’t know it yet.

And Elizabeth here being a singing expert, of course Ian Gillan is someone one should have seen some time. And if she can share some of what there is to know about the technical background, why not.
Noone ‘needs’ to watch it though…

The track ‘7 and 7 is’ it’s up on Spotify as a single. It’s really good.

I don’t mind the Charismatic Voice reviews. She provides some interesting insights.

She is a look at me type of person. Check out other videos of her and you’ll see why.

Uhum, what else are you gonna be if you have your own YouTube channel?
