A new Ritchie Blackmore Youtube channel, ostensibly official, was inaugurated on June 23, 2022, with this unlisted video. It promises weekly updates of which not much has materialized since then:

July 4th, 2022 at 20:50Ritchie’s a scream. The only thing that rivals his guitar playing is his sense of humor (humour for you Europeans). Between Ian Gillan’s sense of humor and Ritchie’s, you almost have to wonder how those two ever got into a row. But I know they had some hilarious and fun moments together – especially on stage – many of which are captured on video or audio. I look forward to propping my feet up, eating popcorn and watching my favorite comedy duo in Ritchie & Candy having at it. Tallyho!

Unless a songwriter or a co-songwriter accepts a payout for future royalties & someone else has not managed to manipulate the system, any past songwriting member should be entitled to a portion of future royalties. That can also include songs being performed live in concert. Something like that if all is above board, so to speak. Cheers.
July 5th, 2022 at 21:32I’m sure Ritchie never needs to worry about money again, he’s done plenty well, college tuition for Autumn and Rory will not be an issue. That is definitely not the reason he is doing this. Looks more like something his better half would talk him into to be more of a presence in social networks. Their ability to tour is finite due to Ritchie’s age, but online gigs can be a possibility for much longer.

I love English football (Premier League), English rock.. and English humor. Ritchie makes a copy of the last two theses.. and he also played football well (clip Perfect Strangers). What a man 🙂 long live RB !

As we know from previous comments over the years Blackmore has nothing to do with the internet etc. As soon as I noticed the story, I thought someone else is behind this no doubt. I am glad he mentions that he has nothing to do with it. Good humour though. Cheers.
