Waking up to the chickens at the House of Flowers

Ian Gillan talking (and jamming) with a Turkish musician Fuat Güner at the former’s place in Portugal. Big Ian says that the band have already done some writing for another new album and that studio time with Bob Ezrin is already booked for next February! As several people pointed out in the comments, Now what?! is indeed referred to as the latest album, so the interview is quite old and the new album sessions are, in fact, inFinite sessions.

Thanks to Yvonne for the info, and to Marije Essink, D’ablo Bicasso, and mike whiteley for the correction.

I was also there in the back of the camera 👍🎸

    D'ablo Bicasso says:

At the beginning of the interview, the statement was; Your last record… Now What!?… The studio booked he referred to was for the recording of inFINATE.

When did this interview happen ??
It definitely sounds as if the new album Ian mentions is the follow-up to Now What.
Wasn’t inFinite recorded in February of 2016 ??

    D'ablo Bicasso says:

The second video… With Ian singing All The Time In The World is fantastic!!

    Louise Carvell says:

Thanks for the false hope. This interview must be old, it refers to Now What?! being the last album, therefore new album would be ‘Infinite’. 💜

OK,let’s circle back to Infinite: Almost a month and quite a few reviews have passed.
How is the new album settling in with us THS dwellers ??
I’ll listen to it as much as Abandon & Bananas, far more than Rapture but far less than Purpendicular and Now What.

Please correct me if I am wrong! I would love the possibility of a new album in the future!!

Time delay and lost in translation. Love the setting and I love how relaxed Ian was with the interviewer. I love this version of ‘ All the time in the world’

That’s because of the spot which The Highway Star have chosen. Citation needed. That’s what I call “progressive” jounalism: Maybe Mr. İblağ could give the exact time and date. A story behind will do nicely (Şam’da Kayısı)

It happened on July of 2015.

mike@7- yes I agree. From what I have heard of the latest album, it all sounds a tad flat to me! Purpendicular & Now What? are the only two for my ears! As I stated a few years ago, Now What was an album full of ‘fresh ideas’, probably because they hadn’t done anything for so long & of course, Ezrin added much zest to it no doubt! This time around the zest appears diminished, not to worry! Life rolls on! Cheers.

This interview was from July 2015, and it was aired on the Turkish TV (TRT TURK) on July 25th.

Mea culpa! I only watched the first moments of both parts so I didn’t tell Nick it was an older interview. Anyway, I think it’s a great one.

@ 14 – Really, it was aired on July 25th? That’s my birthday, how appropriate! :)))
