I bought my copies (cd and Lp) at a Media Markt in belgium, but didn’t receive any code or key for a bonus track. They must be keeping it for the german market…Strange.
I guess it’ll show up somewhere else later.

The album is just INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love it!

I actually did get to hear the other bonus track “It’ll be Me”. Definitely didn’t deserve to make the main album. Not even sure why it is included at all. Not a bad song in the general since, but not worthy of being considered a Purple song. Especially on the album so highly anticipated after an 8 year wait. I sure hope the rest of the songs on the album aren’t anything like this track. It belongs on ‘Gillan’s Inn’. Fits the format of that record perfectly. Actually mainly due to how Gillan sings the song. One listen and you all will hear what I mean. I loved Gillan’s Inn. I like the song. As for Purple? Bonus? More like a throw away.

Tracey talk about “Made In Japan” to my shock or surprise, the Japanese version of the album is due around the 22nd May, on side 1 they get an extra 3 tracks & 3 more on side 2!!?? Here are the details: track 13 Smoke On The Water 14 Wrong Man both live and 15 Hell To Play radio edit Disc 2,1 All The Time In the World alternative Radio Mix,2 Perfect Strangers 3 Rapture Of The Deep Live, if i can use a Pink Floyd term and i think we know why, all in all an extra 6 tracks plus the dvd, which i would imagine is the making of the album.

Klaus, several people outside of Germany have tried that without any luck.

Peter Crisp, all those tracks are just LIVE tracks of prior release tunes. Bonus to me means extra. There are tons of live versions of all those songs already posted as Bonus tracks. They used them on the ROTD Deluxe Edition. We are clamoring for NEW material. Live versions of new material would be wonderful though. These you listed have been offered over and over…. Hopefully there will be a Live album and DVD from this upcoming tour with tons of songs played from Now What?! and some more thrown in from MK7/8 such as ‘Sun Goes Down’. That would be different. That would be ‘dangerous’ as Roger keeps stating they are. Yes, the standard classics.. SOTW, HS, Hush, BN, PS, and the rest entirely different from there past cookie cut list.

Does anyone here know enough German to navigate through the Media Market website download for “First Sign Of Madness”?
If so, does the download go to iTunes or their own player?
I’d hate to wait months to listen to it as part of the parent CD.

Just as with Rapture of the Deep, it is very likely there will be a tour edition with more bonus stuff. Add to this that next month (May) there will be a Japanese version of both the standard as the limited version with each different (Live) Bonus tracks compared to the versions available elsewhere. So if you’re an obsessed Purple freak and completist of all the Purple output (like myself) who will buy anything new from our Purple gang, than it will turn out to be an expensive business. But hey, since it’s been way too long since the guys have released anything new and we’ve all been waiting for years for this to come, why complain? It’s a fantastic new album anyway ,so NOW WHAT?!

I am sorry to hear that 🙁 – hopefully there will be another way soon

    @ No. 12

Juri, there is no code necessary to buy it in their download shop:

@13: But it is supposed to be a free download if you have bought the actual album.

I gotta be totally honest here this is a lousy policy on the labels part and maybe the Band too. It’s only an effort to SUCK a few more bucks outta the diehard fans. We are all mostly first day buyers but also COMPLETE-ISTS! So when & where this track shows up to the rest of the world WE are going to be forced to buy the whole CD again! And it’s NOT right. If there were any decency it will be available on iTunes or the like as a single song buy. But it probably won’t. I hope someone out there ‘SHARES” the song and we are able to get it “ON OUR OWN” and avoid getting ripped off as it appears we are about to.

Just found it in the net, amazing track, it’s a shame they didn’t include this on the album.

Just type in google “Deep Purple First Sign of Madness download” and you can now have it!

All in all, this is free bonus track for those who bought Now What?!

I have just bought the album at the local Media Markt and the bonus track site does not open, maybe they could have called the album What the f$%§? 😉 Any ideas what I am doing wrong? I like the album, had a listen to a colleague’s copy and it marks my first Morse album in my DP collection…
