It’s nearly 1 year to go? We’ll obviously get a new record.

Tracy Heyder (Zero the Hero) says:

This portion is all at the end of next year….

I would have to think that a album will surface before or around then. Might get to see a tour promoting it after all…….That would be a Very Merry Christmas.

    Cheers to YOU

    George Martin says:

Well the one thing good about this is at least the band still plans to be together at least until the end of next year. Tour America again please!

    Roberto says:

yesterday good news from Ian Paice (clinic in Italy, the man was in top form as reported):
    – Jon lord is much better and the cancer has been removed
    – the music of the new Deep Purple album is finished but they are waiting Ian Gillan taking his part in…
    – the verona ’11 dvd will be realesed but it needs to be restored (he just suppose it will be out within 2 years)
Anyway these are not offical infos (and not mine), just something that I read on the italian Deep Purple site…hope I have not been disrespectful to report them…

    David Sanderson says:

David McCory, if any Scottish dates are added that would imply a UK tour, DP managed to get over to Belfast at last but it is nearly 10 years since they played Dublin, I hope they revisit some of the venues they played in 2002….wishful thinking?

A new DP album and Mr Lord in better health? Keep up the good news, I hope both of these comments are true.

    dave_wallis says:

Roberto, thanks for the news anyway.

    Peter says:

    Hi Roberto,
these are really GOOD news about Jon!!
All the best for the gentlemen Jon.

    ………..and a new DP record – it’s also an good news :-))

    Best wishes to all,
    Peter from munich

I m curious about the future set list…

    Larry R. Toering says:

I used a translator, finding the Italian source to translate just as Roberto reported here. Apparently this was an eye witness reviewed account. I would shed any speculation concerning the albums progress, and it looks like anyone pointing the finger at Gillan’s part holing things up is likely correct, as this more or less confirms in the conveyed sense.

Tracy Heyder (Zero the Hero) says:

Looks like a repeat of ROTD as I stated elsewhere. The Front man has become the recluse. Where is Axle Rose?????

  17. 17
    Frankfurter says:

According to RTL News Germany it will be farewell tour through

  18. 18
    Tommy H. says:

I’m happy about the good news, especially those about the health of Jon. There are quite a few people I knew who died because of cancer. What a terrible disease. My best wishes go out to him. I’m also looking forward to the studio recording of the Concerto For Group And Orchestra. I believe that 2012 will be an interesting year …

    stoffer says:

Thanks Roberto for the Great News on Jon!!! Now the new year starts with a large Canadian tour, when will there be time for a new LP??????????

  20. 20
    Roberto says:

@17 promoters said it even about the last Chile tour and two years ago happened the same thing in Italy…the true last farewell tour will be only the one announced by the band…

    I just found this one.

    The 1971 recording from Aarhus/Denmark.
It’s supposed to be different from earlier editions.
    It is REEL TO REEL.

Maybe it should be one for official release?
I dont remember if they already did : (
