Oh, I’d like to listen to a new album. Especially if Don Airey sings, not only plays… I heard him at the DP gigs, he does it very well! 😀

Tracy Heyder (aka Zero the Hero) says:

Maybe Glenn Hughes will guest on this. Seems fitting since Joe is taking part and he is also involved in the Hughes thing….

Maybe the Stars are beginning to Realign…..

    Cheers

    @ 3

    I m puzzled now.

Glenn in DP back introduced by Don?

Joe Bonamassa the new banjo man in DP introduced by Don?

    DP Mark 9?

    Airey, Bonamassa, Hughes, Paicey, Glover?

I don’t think the Double Bass Players would work….

I’d rather see Hughes get with Blackmore and Lord for a blues rock thing. Leave Purple alone….

    Cheers

Tracy, you continue to make very good points. I agree with you completely. A Hughes/Blackmore/Lord blues rock collaboration would indeed be an interesting proposition and a “competitor” to the “real” Deep Purple and made for interesting debate.

Unfortunately, I do not see that ever happening.

Dunno, did you ever hear Glenn do Highway Star.
    That was cool.

    purplepriest1965 says:

I suppose its out of order to ask Hughes to sing without the shrieking overdrive and let do Roger do bass?

  9. 9
Tracy Heyder (aka Zero the Hero) says:

Roger is already doing very well in his Own Great Band, DEEP PURPLE. Glenn can play the bass and sing. It’s what he does. No need to drag Roger from his Happy Place.

We dont need happy people, we need great and exiting music.

Exciting Music is in the ear of the beholder…..

Many bands are out there for you to choose from. Many songs, albums, concerts. Don’t try to change the band…..choose another.

Never go down with a fight…….or hope.

Lord and Blackers WILL be ready always to do a few shows……

    Only 2 problems

Gillans stubbornness and The Woman From Hell.

If they are So Ready, they should do something Together on their own. SOMETHING NEW. I love the ‘Lord Blackmore’ title. Ritchie already played in a band called ‘Lord Sutch’. Now he and JL can co-share a NEW Rock Band. Would be Brilliant. He should have put that in the Pre-nup….

    Cheers
