Very good guitarist in Don Airey’s band…nice playing. Great singer too. I think this CD will be well worth the purchase.

I bought this over the weekend and just got done listening to it. It is definitely a must buy in my opinion. My only complaint is I wish there was a dvd to go along with it. The recording is incredible and a good song selection. I know people will say there’s too much common Deep Purple on it and it would be nice if there were Purple songs played that Purple never plays but I still think this is a great cd.

A brillant firework of great songs with great musicians.
I was at the concert back then and the 2CD brings across the mood very well.
Hardly any other musician has played on so many successful hard rock albums by different bands as DON AIREY. A cross-section of his work plus some Deep Purple classics and 3 songs from his solo CD’s can be heard here. In addition to Deep Purple, Rainbow, Whitesnake and Gary Moore, he also plays “Desperado” from the jazz rock band “Collosseum II”, in which Gary Moore and Jon Hiseman also played alongside Don Airey.

The band on this tour is great. In addition to the current “Nazareth” singer Carl Sentence, who has to sing songs by very different singers here, we have the remarkable Simon McBride on guitar, Laurence Cottle on bass and – really great – Jon Finnigan on drums. On the keyboards (piano, Hammond, synth.), Of course, the master himself: Don Airey.
Very good, crystal clear production. No overdubs.
    Highly Recommended.
A nice reminder of a time when it was still possible to attend concerts like this.

They were on cracking form when I saw them in Cambridge. Must buy the album and see them again when I can.
