Lazy — piano cover

Can a lady at the piano sound just as badass as Messrs Blackmore, Gillan, Glover, Lord and Paice did back in 1972? Judge for yourself.

This presentation of Vika Yermolyeva‘s work has been brought to you by Editor Emeritus Dave Hodgkinson on behalf of the weird-but-awesome covers department.

That’s a mighty fine rendition of one of the best blues tunes ever. I love how she doesn’t only play the keyboard parts but also intertwines the guitar and vocal portions also. I also love how she seems to ‘love’ her piano. ‘Booooiiiiiiiinnnnnngggggg’.

    Cheers

Wonderful instrumental, superb playing of the classic. Blackmore was influenced to manipulate that riff, from a Clapton riff from the early live Cream apparently. “Steppin Out” was the tune according to the youtube clip, were he shows a few ideas of those early songs & where they originated from!
