Longtime Ian Gillan’s collaborator Michael Lee Jackson (Gillan’s Inn, Live in Anaheim, WhoCares) is being inducted into The Buffalo Music Hall of Fame, class of 2026. The induction ceremony will be held tonight, October 7, with a gala concert to follow on October 8. There’s even deeper trainspotting going on here: Michael will share the honour, among other people, with Zuri Appleby — daughter of his Gillan’s Inn partner in crime, bass player Rodney Appleby.
