A bunch of Japanese poets sitting in a circle

…And once we’re on a Jon bender today, here is another of his long form interviews and a Q&A session. It sounds like this was done in Australia some time early this century.

An because you can’t really celebrate Jon Lord without any of his music…

Thanks to Purple Maniac for posting the talk. The music video is, of course, from the 2011 Sunflower Jam DVD.

The interview would be 2003 from my memory. I witnessed Jon Lord with The Hoochie Coochie Men early that year. Gigs were arranged with that band after a injury curtailed his solo piano tour. Also went to see classic Yes later that year, brilliant. The Sunflower jam always reminds me of that year, in that I was fortunate enough to witness two of my favourite keyboard players, among other things. Happy Days. Cheers.

Given the interviewer is wearing a tripleJ (radio station) t-shirt then it’s a reasonable assumption it was done in Australia.
