Pure magic! My first DP-poster was with MK. III. I thought they looked like gods or demons.

Great pics. Makes me want to break out my Stormbringer Tee Shirt and crank some MK3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There is a great article on the Bogus Deep Purple tour also from 1980 on that sight. With so many dates played, it’s a shame there isn’t any full concert recordings or vids….

    Cheers

    Bogus.
    Whats in a name?

I wish he could have teamed up with Nick Simper while the OTHER ex Purples were to busy to what so many wanted.

Ok, 1 is really not enough for the name but how about DP with just Blackmore/Lord or Blackmore/Gillan?

Great pictures. Looking them, I’m astounded by just how young Glen looks. Not really a good full face of David, but I’m sure the same holds true. Young and full of piss and vinegar.

Just for a hisorical perspective, these photos were taken 4 months after I’d head the joy to see DP headline at Market Square Arena in Indianapolis, IN. Elf was the headliner; ELO the second act. I don’t have any lasting impression of Elf, but I do recall being very impressed at ELO’s performance.

    Cheers

Or how about Blackmore and You? Anything as long it’s Blackmore ehhhhhh?

Come on, you are surely older and wiser than you appear with all of your adolescent constant complaining about the Blackmoreless Purple. Echoes of my young children while on long distance trips….”Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet?…..” I’d say….”We will get there when we get there, not a second sooner. As a matter of fact, if you keep asking I’ll slow down.” They grew out of that shit at 12 years old. HOW OLD ARE YOU????? They ain’t listening to your childish Re-Marks…….

    Cheers

That sure looks like a camera to me too. Whatever it is, it’s on a tripod.
