Thanks to Steve for not giving up.

Somehow I can understand why he joined Black Sabbath.
Some say it was a mistake but I say it was the best and most cleverest move that Ian Gillan ever taken.
They guy is very business minded.
    Peace ✌️

    So much energy 🤩

And what a voice that young man had!

Gillan (the band) certainly was going places, especially in Denmark I need to say ☺️

A descent song, nothing more nothing less. But I do think he was wasting his talent a little with this speed rock with lyrics and clothes that looked and sounded like he was applying to join a bikers gang…

    Uwe Hornung says:

A simple song with a jaunty melody, let down further by an utterly unremarkable chorus which must have taken 10 seconds to write. 😑

It was among the first I heard from GILLAN when I saw this on German TV in early 1980 …

As a card-carrying IGB aficionado who had loved stuff like this here …

it came as somewhat of a culture shock to me and I thought to myself: Is this the way Ian really wants to go now, sing-and-clap-along happy rock along the lines of Bachman Turner Overdrive without the furs? 🙄 😂

Not one of my GILLAN favorites as you might have gathered then! It’s overtly banal. Luckily, more and better was to follow.

PS: John McCoy‘s bass intro is cool though.
