No time to lose

That awesome Italian tribute band Strange Kind of Women didn’t lose any time learning and rehearsing the freshly released single and performed it at their gig on May 4 in Graz, Austria.

Speaking of covers that can put a smile on your face… The average age at a Deep Purple concert might not be exactly 18, but this band looks like they come pretty close. This is the YouTube sensation Sina the drummer and her friends:

Sina: drums
Chiara Kilchling: vocals and bass guitar
Camilo Bastidas: tenor saxophone
Marius Holland: keys
Manu Abanto: guitar
Maria Cozzani: violin
Leon Bartelsman: violin
Janne Paardenkooper: viola
Simone Minn: viola
Sara Maraston: cello
Marijke Gustorff: trumpet
Gilles Vink: trumpet
Leonel Nordmann: baritone saxophone
Arrangement by Linus Mahler
Gabriel Suarez Cejuela: recording engineer
Camera Operator, Audio and Video production by Nils Neumann

Thanks to Jörg for the info.

Outstanding covers. The ‘Perfect Strangers’ take was very intricately worked out – fine all around. The ‘Portable Door’ singer, lead guitarist and keyboard player impressed me. This bodes well for the buzz on Purple’s new album.

Great work. I preferred it to the Singapore live version 🙂
