Always thought that the Fireball/Into the Fire combo works really well.

Any setlist of DP is fine, but tours comes and comes, and already so many years without nothing new? Am I waiting too much? In any case, I’ll try to see them again in few weeks…

Good to see Maybe I´m A Leo and No One Came being aired again. I guess this is what to expect setlist-wise this summer.. Not too bad. I still wonder why they’re doing Things I Never Said on every show. Think they’ve done it on every show since “Rapture” was released..A very poor song I’m afraid..No one I’ve heard likes it even a bit.. Keep it up and No One Came will come true.. 🙂

Tracy Heyder (aka Zero the Hero) says:

Would Love to see Mary Long dropped and replaced with another from that album. ANYTHING!!! ML was my least liked song on WDYTWA. It would make more since to bring back WFT. If we are going to hear an obscure tune, how about Rat Bat Blue?????

Either way….GREAT to see them still “Doing it Tonight”…..and hopefully many nights to come.

    Cheers

Masse: Things I Never Said is fantastic track. It works great live… I would drop different songs – Strange Kind Of Woman can be put to rest for some time, Space Truckin´ is played for ages in same way too (but to be honest – when you are on the show, it´s just great crowd pleaser) and I´m sorry, but Hush should be gone forever…. I know that Steve loves this track, but it´s not track from Gillan era and I think that they can do any track from his times instead of this – band are playing Speed King sometimes (it´s even printed on setlists!), but for example what about encore duo Living Wreck / Black Night – it sounds great to me. 🙂

Masse: count me among those who like “Things I Never Said” and believe it should have been on the original release of the album!

Not waiting for a new album to come out. What’s the point of telling the band to do something they don’t want to do right now?

    @5 I like Things I Never Said quite a bit, I think
its an easy song for Gillan to sing and fits well in the set. That said, its has been in the set since I saw them in 2007 and probably could be replaced by something else from ROTD, Bananas or even Perpendicular. …how about Rosas Cantina or Hey Cisco!!
    Cheers

The setlist often makes me think it its 1996 all over again.

Which was not a bad thing way back.

    But its now 2010!!!!!

Bird has flown instead of Hush.
Skip SKOW because Gillan tries to scream and it makes me cringe.STOP IT!!!!!
Mary Long I used to like, and so I m not going VAVOOM anymore when its done live, I prefer Place In Line or Rat bat Blue.
The 2 Morse instrumentals could have been exhanged for 2 other Morse solo catalogue numbers years ago.

    Why not do Lucille?

I so bored with hearing SOTW, Black Night and Speed king.

I KNOW they still adopt a certain format but…..

Anyway, hell has to freeze over will I be attending a DP gig again.

Last night enjoying myself with Tubes from Sabbath with Ronnie James Dio from all over the years.
    THAT WAS A ROCKBAND!!!!

    Darryl says:

Same set as the Durban show. I’m sorry they dropped Wasted Sunsets which they did when I saw thm in London last year. The other disappointment is nothing from In Rock which is my favourite DP album. And I know IG doesn’t want to do tracks from the other lineups (despite them doing Hush and sometimes Wring that neck)but bring on Burn.
And The Battle Rages on. And Anya. And Knocking At Your Back Door.

    Carlos (from Paraguay) says:

is time to change the set list…. please all these five years always the same!! came on!!! what happend mr. gillan!

    jw says:

This setlist is so fxxxxxxx boring. Talk about dinasour rock. I have loved these guys ever since 1970 and it hurts to admit it, but they are going down the drain. Mind u. If somebody hasnt been to a DP show its worth going. Every cent worth it. But for us – who has been coming to every show ever since the 1972, its a bore. I only went the last time because i got in for free. I dont know how these guys can come up with the spirit to perform so well.

    George says:

The attendance for the show at Coca Cola Dome was 19,000! (confirmed by venue managers) SOLD OUT!
