Sartorial elegance and infuriating niceness
A couple of years ago Ian Gillan spoke to A Breath of Fresh Air podcast. The interview was posted in March 2024 and until now stayed under our radar. It appears that it was done in the anticipation of the Australian tour that never happened.

Meanwhile Ian is staring down at Anton’s food bowl full of dog biscuits and Anton is staring up at Ian thinking, ‘if he touches my food, I’m gonna kill him’. The drama of it all, all the tension. Someone should write a song about it. Maybe Ian will. Hang on he already has. Mad Dog from THOBL. Cheers.

– No no! My little doglet is very well behaved and somehow I don’t think, Ian being this very wealthy gentleman, would in any way be envious of Anton’s food.

March 24th, 2026 at 00:21Finally it dawned upon me how Ian developed his love for walking without clothes.
It still amazes how someone having drunk so much can talk so cohesively and eloquently.
But to suggest time and time again his singing is still topnotch?
WDWTWA was a too commercially driven album?
I always tought the production was great and it contains several classics.
Recorded in an odd situation where chemistry was lost?
His delivery there is one of his best.
DP are weird people.
IMHO Ian was often cringy live but picked up steam around 88.
What they do? They split?
TBRO tour almost reached early 70 s level, they split.
A bit of nagging ….
It sometimes happens that websites manage to construct what they offer in away that gives me a headache.
The Rainbow Fanclan Legacy did that and you keep posting clips that are a bitch to escape from.
Ijust want to see the youtubeversion by clicking once or twice on the version you offer.
Sometimes it works, now it didnt.
Of course this is not the worst thing but….
Please change something to avoid this annoyance.
You must be digitalwizards by now, dont ask me , I m definitely not, to jump in and use tricks to get to the thing.

Not once can you find me appreciating Ian being butt naked! Not once…
However I am an advocate for his right to do exactly what he wants and feels like 😊
And I do not have to like everything he does, do I?😳
It is the same with you my dear German law-abiding courtroom conqueror, if you got that idea only to drink tea for the rest of your life, I would fight for your right but I would not participate nor would I enjoy the thought of it, but still, it is your life, you can do whatever you like, just like Ian!
I do not personally enjoy naturism, but I find it fine Ian does.

April 2nd, 2026 at 23:55Ian Gillan obviously enjoys the ‘primal’ aspect to a few things, that being one of them. And we know vocally he does too, all that screaming and moaning etc. Looking back at our ancestors, that is a common ‘vocal’ form of language or expression would be a better way to describe it. As long as he isn’t ‘too’ excited by getting his kit off. Maybe that is why he doesn’t like doing it in cold weather. Taking his clothes off I am talking about.
