Little melodic pieces
Steve Morse plays a bespoke piece The Pledge written for him by Jason Sidwell and proceeds to explain what, how, and why.
The full video, audio, backing track, tab/notation transcription, and chord chart will feature in Guitar Techniques magazine issue #357, out now. Subscriptions to the magazine are available via Magazines Direct.

Unauthorized copying, while sometimes necessary, is never as good as the real thing
There he is again, smiley-sunny Steve (even when he plays in a minor key), an antidote to vampires 🧛🏻♂️! He always sounds like his guitar is rejoicing (Brian May sounds that way too) while Ritchie’s notes crawl out of the ground-foggy coffin.

Excellent post, & sublime playing & discussion from a real master…The music speaks for itself.

January 11th, 2024 at 23:45@ 1 – ha ha ha, yes that is a good way to put it Uwe, well done. I watched it for about half it’s length but it is purely for guitarists in that sense of things. Us drummers only know boom, crash & thud, so we have trouble understanding anything else. Cheers.
