Past times with good company
Blackmore’s Night will play a handful of dates within the driving distance of their Long Island abode in November 2025. Tickets are already on sale, and full details are in our calendar.
Fun fact: a couple of shows are booked into the same venues where Steve Morse will play just a few weeks earlier. It’s a small world, but we wouldn’t want to paint it.
If truth be told, some of Steve’s music in the past and what Ritchie & Candice are doing do not strike me as that incompatible …

Steve is just less syrupy and more New Age about it, but it’s not an unbridgeable gap. A joint acoustic album of Ritchie and Steve with a female voice? I’d buy it in a heartbeat.
Or a country swing album? 🤗

September 6th, 2025 at 02:24I bought the first BN CD in 1997 and I haven’t bought any more since then… that says something to this DP fan (me)since 1983…
September 7th, 2025 at 19:05I’m not gonna advocate the purchase of any more BN albums if you already have one, no worries, spend your hard earned money on IGB and Tommy Bolin releases, much more rewarding!
September 7th, 2025 at 19:55I have all Blacknights albums and three live cd’s and have seen them 15 times are still my faves .
September 8th, 2025 at 16:36As a woman, I guess you’re core audience, Karen! One thing you can say about BN crowds is that the female content is much higher than with any other Purple-related act.
And you’re not alone, I have all their albums too plus seen them a dozen times or so. Before the pandemic and Ritchie’s decreasing health, they’d tour Germany basically once a year on their castle route.
September 8th, 2025 at 20:16@ 5, That is so true Uwe, i have noticed the amount of woman at the BMN shows compared to the amount at DP shows. Cheers to the woman’s out there.
September 9th, 2025 at 12:02Uwe, the recommendation to buy up IGB and Tommy Bolin albums is no less cruel than, for example, buying up all of McBride’s albums lol
September 11th, 2025 at 12:52But both IGB and Tommy could be nicely ballady, they made music of timeless beauty …
