A little more careful with the planet

A marathon-length interview with Ian Paice that we’ve announced a few days ago, has now been posted online. Listen if you have missed it the first time around. The interview itself starts at around 20 minute mark into the show. But hey, why skip? There are no annoying commercials and a good chunk of the new album was played on the air.

I think, Ian, you’re referencing the tune “Out of Hand” off the “Now What?” album.

Very disappointed that Ian is taking about paid for content on his YouTube site. I remember back in the day, that most bands would invite people back into the venue or come to the stage door to sign autographs after the gig and it was all done for free. Basically, the groups were saying thanks to those who supported them. The ‘meet and greets,’ that are so prevalent nowadays just smack of pure greed. Purple and the offshoots never, ever came across as ‘breadheads,’ and were clearly wealthy men anyway. I’d urge Ian to abandon this idea as it’s not a good look for him or anyone else, whether they are at his legendary level or not.

@ 2- I think the tune is Above & Beyond. It was Steve’s idea, and he brought it to the band.
