IAN PAICE: “THANK YOU!”
JUNE 17, 2016
“A big thank you to all the people who have been in touch with me expressing their concern about my health.
I think you will appreciate that there have been too many to answer every one personally.
So if I don’t reply to you please accept my apologies, but there are only so many hours in a day!
Also my one typing finger is having its own “event” and is starting to get very sore.
I knew I had a lot of friends around the world but never realised quite how many.
Again thanks to you all and I will endeavour to keep you up to date with my progress which so far is great.
Ian.”

June 17th, 2016 at 19:11Hi Ian, I’m Alessandro Verona a drummer from udine italy, we’ve met many times, with deep and many projects you played with in the last years I’ve been following you since I started to play in 2006 and being a left handed you’ve been more than just an inspiration, a model for me and probably the reason why I still love to play and enjoy music. When I heard of your problem I felt a bit shocked since I my self experienced health problems, so I wish you the best, good luck and don’t take too much stress, think for your health, a few gigs aren’t so important after all… take care.

June 19th, 2016 at 02:10Hi Ian!
I just got the news that it was actually YOU that was ill. I live in Gothenburg and had planned to go and see your show. I´m so glad it was just a minor stroke and that you expect to be fully recovered! I agree with many others here in that your health and well-being must come first so take your time! Hope to see you and Deep Purple in concert soon again! Know that you were my first drumming inspiration some 40 years ago. I have since played with Joe Lynn Turner, Graham Bonett and Doogie White ( in recent years) to name the most famous in my resume. I know that you and Deep Purple had very much to do with that for without Deep Purple, Rainbow etc. it would never have happened!
Thanks a million for years of inspiration Ian! Get well now!
God bless you, always!
