Hughes announces US tour
Glenn Hughes has announced a 16 date tour of the United States in March 2016. Just like in the other parts of the world recently, he will be performing in a power trio format with Doug Aldrich on guitar and Pontus Engborg on drums. Supporting him on this tour will be Joanne Shaw Taylor and (once again) Jared James Nichols.
Full details in out calendar.
Wow… Battle Creek, MI is just a hop skip and a jump for me. Never thought I’d get to see Glenn here in the midwest.

I saw them in Mannheim. If Glenn can keep his head screwed on right for once, he should give his left (and possibly right, it helps with the falsetto!) nut to keep this line up together. It is everything California Breed (I’ve been damning about them before) were unjustly lauded to be and never were. These guys are actually an excellent power trio and – I never thought I would write this about a Whitesnake guitarist from more current line ups – Doug Aldrich can credibly play Mel Galley guitar riffs with that angular Brit funk feel that made Trapeze one of a kind. More importantly: Both Aldrich and Engborg are not shrinking violets as players and this is exactly what our generally oversinging and overplaying Glenny-boy needs for a band with him to sound balanced. And: I have never heard Aldrich as good or as inspired with WS. A must-see even if Herr Hughes’ various projects and their short life spans have been disparaging for you before. When they did First Step of Love I almost creamed into my pants, the delivery was that good.

October 6th, 2015 at 16:52For those of you going, I strongly recommend getting there in time to catch Joanne Shaw Taylor’s set, too. She’s a great guitarist, and has a hell of a voice. I’ve seen her live 5 times now, and she’s been great every time.
October 7th, 2015 at 09:58I am so happy to be able to see Glenn Hughes in Buffalo in March. And with Doug Aldrich no less. Like was said above before, I never expected to see him in Niagara! So excited for the show!
