This is a FREE show (if you call getting to Vegas and getting a room free). I just saw an ad in the Los Angeles Times (print, not on the net) over the weekend for what I think they call the “Rock of Vegas 2014” series schedule and there was this Purple show. I do not believe that you can buy any reserved area tix and from what I understand, they have free shows at the Freemont Street Experience every weekend but 1 week a month they have a “Name” band (or group of bands) play. This is outdoors but under a large canapy that stretches down a good chunk of real estate covering the entire street, not that it will help at night. I have never been to Vegas in August and I am not sure how hot it is outdoors there at nite, but I am sure that it will be a very sweaty gig for everyone involved!!
I wonder if anyone other than the moderator will even see this post.

May 21st, 2014 at 22:09Hey Jerry. It will most likely be hot here in August (even at night, =/> than 90 degress F or so). Bring shorts and a t-shirt. The gigs are out doors and free. It gets crowded quickly. Maybe arrive a bit early to get a good standing spot (as opposed to actual seats).
