    Aside from Hughes shrieking all the way through, it’s not a bad version. One would think he is making a point to show he can hit the high notes and ignore the fact he can actually sing. If he is going to constantly cover Purple tunes and scream all the way through, why not pick tunes that require screaming like Child in Time? A bluesy tune like Mistreated is the wrong song for all that crap. It’s as though he is taking these moments to bloviate and show off his ability. He definitely still has an incredible range and he definitely loves to show it off to an extreme and to the point of being irritating.
