Unauthorized copying, while sometimes necessary, is never as good as the real thing
The blush/rouge (on David, not Cindy) could have been applied more sparingly, but other than that it’s nice and tasteful.

The voice of soul…
November 21st, 2025 at 02:36#1. Are you sure? I thought the video needed more makeup and effects (not :). All a bit too Vegas for me. But he has lived closed to it for 40 years now.
November 21st, 2025 at 07:10David’s general preferences have always extended more than a bit into the lavish, remember the furnishings of his Lake Tahoe abode which indicated an interior design taste somewhere between Saddam Hussein and Donald Trump.
I remember an interview in the 80s where he joked about Scandinavian design and Formstrenge and how that does nothing for him (he alluded to the fact that Whitesnake’s music was by nature not sparse or somber). But I’m with you, I’ve seen brothels done in better taste than that Lake Tahoe interior monstrosity.
Frankly, to me DC’s best video ever is this here, it is the only one I would qualify as ”adult” (in a non-porn way!).

It’s also a beautiful song – as was the album. I wish he had stuck to doing that, I don’t consider anything he did afterwards in the 21st century essential.

November 21st, 2025 at 23:52but apart from the throat infection, is everything else okay?
November 22nd, 2025 at 10:01when he says “Disappear” you can still hear 100% of Mr. Slide It in’s intense voice!
November 22nd, 2025 at 18:28Nice song. Beautiful job. He sounds really good. They should release this as a single. Just one critique if I may. That video needs some editing. He looks like he just went ten rounds with Muhammed Ali. Ok two rounds. He wouldn’t make ten with the great Ali. Is Jimmy Hoffa under all that goo? Kudos to the orchestra. They did a fabulous job.

😂
I think that movie is severely underrated. Nicholson played great underneath all those prosthetics and it’s one of the few movies where he was for once playing a role and not just the public Jack Nicholson.

November 23rd, 2025 at 03:20I prefer the original version, although this one is good too, because it’s a good song, well sung…Forevermore…the best WS album since 1987…I’ll highlight four songs,…..,.Forevermore….”Love Will Set You Free” (the smell of old WS, For me only miss Neil Murray and Ian Paice, the pearl solo by Doug Aldrich great guitar …and (I have to do this for the sake of peace in my house) two songs that my wife loves… and so do I: “Easier Said Than Done” and “One of These Days”(spirit guitar George Harrison)
November 23rd, 2025 at 10:35Thank you for your music David ..
Yeah, that Harrison guitar is lovely.
November 23rd, 2025 at 17:00Isn’t this the same vocal track as the version on the Forevermore album from almost 15 years ago with just a new backing? All those alternative mixes that David has seen released in recent years are generally not complete rerecordings, but just old vocal tracks with new instrumental backing.
I think the last time we heard fresh recordings of DC singing was on 2019’s Flesh & Blood.
