For one night only

deep purple royal albert hall 2026 poster

The much rumoured Deep Purple show at the Royal Albert Hall has finally materialized. It is scheduled for November 25, 2026. The tickets go on sale this Friday, February 6 at 10 a.m., with registration for presale already open via the same link.

Promo blurb reads:

On November 25th 2026, Deep Purple will return to the Royal Albert Hall for a very special one-off performance, reconnecting the band with one of the most significant venues in their storied history. The Hall holds a unique place in the Deep Purple story: it was here in 1969, that the band made history as the first rock group to premiere a full classical composition with an orchestra on the Royal Albert Hall stage, a bold artistic statement that expanded the boundaries of rock performance. That landmark moment remains one of the most important cross-genre events in British music history, and reflected a band unafraid to challenge convention — a spirit that continues to define Deep Purple today.

This November’s return will be a full-throttle Deep Purple rock show, showcasing a band that remains creatively sharp, musically fearless, and utterly commanding on stage. With a current lineup that blends world-class musicianship, renewed energy, and fresh material alongside the band’s iconic catalogue, this performance is not about nostalgia — it’s about the power of Deep Purple in the present tense. In the grandeur of the Royal Albert Hall, the band will once again prove why they remain one of rock’s most compelling live forces, making this one-night event an essential moment for fans old and new alike.

Thanks to Blabbermouth for the heads-up.

@1-2 I don’t think so. Some time ago we discussed here the British way of completing one’s career vs the American way, the British way being recording and touring until things just stop one way or the other, and the American way being making a great announcement of a farewell tour and a grand concert with people from all Mks involved.

This announcement means to me that our boys want to to have it both ways, sort of. They will continue touring and recording until one or two of them drop (not lethally, just losing one’s capacity to sing or play would suffice) and the remaining band will not be able to call itself a legit Mk. At the same they (probably IG) have figured out that having a big fat quasi-final show will not hurt. It will look good as a grand event, it will bring some good cash and it will be another occasion to solidify their status as the rock royalty. All that doesn’t mean that one month after the Royal Albert Hall they won’t pack up ang go on another leg of touring. Most likely they will.

Great! Now they would have an excellent opportunity to pay hommage to late great Jon Lord by playing his lovely song ‘Pictured Within’, backed by a string quartet. Jon was such an essential force for the band’s rise to world-wide success, after all these decades he surely deserves it. Please guys, this is the perfect time and place.

  17. 17
    Uwe Hornung says:

Alles hat ein Ende, nur die Wurst hat zwei …”, if this shall be the conclusion then the band had a good run. No gripes.

    Will be filmed ?

  19. 19
    George M. says:

Definitely time to call it a day as a touring band. Gillan’s voice has been shot for years. Here’s hoping they continue to write and record music, as a band and/or as solo artists. Here’s also hoping they bring back Steve and Ritchie for their final show(s). But don’t hold your breath.

    @1 and @2

Are you suggesting that this is the end of the band?

They should autograph that poster and sell it on their website. That would be really cool to have.

  22. 22
    Marcus says:

Can my wallet stretch to this – as well as Hammersmith?
    What about my ears?
Will I regret it if I do not go?
Can the mushrooms in the roof cope with Purple?
Will Don get to play the house organ?

    So many questions.

Last time I saw them at Hammersmith was the Jon and Don double act. And I am sure that will be a great show.

  23. 23
    MacGregor says:

    @ 20 – I just wish them well. Cheers.

How did everybody come to the conclusion that this will be their last show? There is nothing on the poster depicted nor written in the two paragraphs above that suggests this.

    Andre Sihotang says:

Would be a fitting place to end the journey if it’s true, the place where Mark 2 live began. Multiple dates would be convenient so people from other places could attend.

The 1999 concerts with Orchestra in Royal Albert Hall was my first crush with Deep Purple as a live band, watching it on VHS. What a performance that was, everybody including the orchestra were on fire. I remember I was amazed how electric guitar could combine with full orchestra. And of course, the wonderful Ronnie Dio with Purple.

Guess that concert was one of the moment our beloved Lord felt he was in the setting sun of rock music, as a few years later he would go classical

I remember I was also intrigued with Gillan’s dress code. Who is he, a preacher or something? Read some funny remarks about his famous white long shirt, but you do not tell Ian Gillan what he should do or wear. Maybe he would try to wear something ‘new’ too in November.

If there is a famous rock concert stage I would like to visit, it would be Royal Albert Hall – the place which like 2nd home to Eric Clapton.
Jack Bruce noted that they would reunite Cream in RAH 2007 (would be their final concert) to pay tribute to Ahmed Ertegun. But they pulled out after the event was moved to O2 (felt it became commercial), then Led Zeppelin with Jason happened.

    Karin Verndal says:

    @26

Russ, I guess it’s because everyone, and with that I mean everybody ☺️😉 are afraid it soon will be closing time for our beloved band.

I have the notion that because they are larger than life in so many aspects, they will continue for a long time!
(Psst: at least until I have seen them in Denmark in October and in Hamburg in November, yeah, I’m that selfish 😁)

I got my tickets! Pre-sale opened this morning at 10 a.m. and I signed in right away. Took me 5 minutes to get through the queue. By the time I got on, it seems that most of the seats were already book or were unavailable. They were selling extremely fast. I don’t know what will be left by the time general sales begin in a few days.

  31. 31
    Uwe Hornung says:

But Cream had already played there during their reunion in 2005 – Alice Cooper being one of the luminaries in the audience.

3 dates in Mexico in December. This I suspect is an oppourtunity to film the band, I hope so. A possible documentary?

This is going to be Epic!

  35. 35
    Nigel Bond says:

I got a presale link for the Albert Hall gig. It said that the presale starts tomorrow (6th Feb), but I clicked on it this morning (5th Feb) and it took me to a site where most of the seats were already unavailable – there were less than 20 seats left.

I want to go so I ordered one in the stalls for £230. Much more than I wanted to pay but I had to bite the bullet.

I clicked on the same presale link later the same day, and now it takes me direct to the Albert Hall website where there are still hundreds of tickets left. The stalls, for example are £95.

The first time I clicked the link, it must have sent me to a re-sale site (AXS) but I didn’t notice.

I don’t go to many arena size gigs these days, is this common practice? What I rip-off (I don’t blame the band)

  36. 36
    Peter Stickler says:

I was at work when the sale started and every time I clicked on a seat and wanted to check out I was told that the seat was gone. The moment I wanted to give up I was is offered one of the best seats in the house. I was told that „due to the great denand“ the prices had gone up. Barf! Really? Shame on you whoever you are. BUT: Deep Purple at the Albert front row… Once in a lifetime? Toss that two week all inclusive holiday in Turkey! I‘m traveling to London. Anyone up for a beer before / after the show?

  37. 37
    Thorsun says:

I got my two tickets, the budget ones, under the roof in the back sector. I was 830th in the waiting room, and it took some 15 minutes to be let in for the booking. Prices are ridiculous, especially when you’re outside the Euro currency zone with mid-to-low salary. Even when you buy directly from RAH website like I did in recent 5 years for Jeff Beck Tribute, David Gilmour and Annie Lennox’s Circle event, the extra costs added to tickets – just kill. However, the most important here is – the place, the occasion and THAT BAND. I just feel like I need to be there. Please guys just make it through the gruelling schedule of the 2026 tour prior to that date. See you in November!

    Richard.Palmer says:

Seeing on Saturday at Birmingham and Albert zHall will this be the last concert. Only time will tell by(Great name for a song if Roger and Ian G are reading this..

    Albania says:

We got our tickets through the pre-sale.

Thanks to the time difference and the numerous JFK-LHR daily flights, we should be able to get back home on time for Thanksgiving dinner.

Now, just waiting for the announcement of a US tour. It would be great to see the guys a few times prior to the RAH show.

  40. 40
    Uwe Hornung says:

It’s already basically sold out, wonder if they will add a second date.

  41. 41
    Ken McGregor says:

This is another McGregor from Australia, Melbourne in fact, I just purchased tickets for the Royal Albert Hall and the meet and greet, it’s a long way to the UK but certainly worth every penny, a once in a lifetime opportunity

  42. 42
    Stathis says:

@38 Pity that Asia thought of that title many years ago… 😉

  43. 43
    DeepOz says:

#35 Nigel Bond. Ouch. Pre-sales aren’t just the best 200 or 500 or 1,000 tickets. Typically pre-sales have a range of tickets available through a range of price points, and then the general sales have the rest of the tickets across a range of price points.

If this show had been announced with the other UK shows then I would’ve tried to get tickets. As it is, I’ve booked flights for a cruise we have booked and now it’s prohibitively expense to re-route via LHR. Oh well, hopefully it will be taped and there will be some good audience YouTube’s available shortly after the show (please).

  44. 44
    Paul Jacklin says:

@ 40 – it looks that way from AXS/TM & vanue and prompted me to get my 3 tickets, especially Hammersmith Odeon really is sold out apart from maybe a handful of restricted view tickets. However, CoPilot a bit sceptical https://copilot.microsoft.com/shares/dk4aWNBXJo37UCauDYkAy. Ticket sales for other UK venues don’t look sp great yet though

  45. 45
    Uwe Hornung says:

The mind boggles, you mean they sent the whole M(a)cGregor clan to the penal colonies back then?

    Welcome!

  46. 46
    Uwe Hornung says:

On second thought, Ken have you ever given consideration to the idea of founding an Australian chicken frying franchise and abbreviating it KMc?

    Just asking! 😇
