I have no words to say. The feeling and emotion were unique. Few things in life outweigh the happiness of being in front of their idols, watching them in the flesh. And this is no exaggeration. It’s a rant. A fact. I consider as my second dream come true. Wow, (Ian) Gillan was there, (Ian) Paice and (Roger) Glover also, Don Airey and more and Steve Morse. It was awesome to see the expressions on the faces of those men there on stage performing Highway Star and Smoke. And just remember that Gillan, Glover and Paice were there in Japan in 1972 and so far there in front of me, a few meters. That’s what I get. Pure excitement!
Made in Japan, Made in Europe, Come Hell or High Water, California Jam, No No No, Concert for Group and Orchestra, Snapshot, Clear Air Turbulence, …. everything arises in the head at show time. To think that guys were there playing these classic and so far in front of you. No words to say.
I confess, I moved me greatly, and the same would happen with any fan who has feeling and idolatry, or simply enjoys listening to the guys. I remembered my father, who was too fond of. He was a fan of Made in Europe and liked Paice solo in You Fool No One. Also remember him listening to Made in Japan and repeating what Gillan spoke after The Mule … “Ian Paice, on the drums, yeah !! “Yes, I remembered my father and I watched the show for him. He would love to be there. Wow, can not know what he would say, but I think it would speak: “Wow, look at that the ‘guy’ haha ..!” And it would make a very serene expression on her face, I bet.
I have heard countless times the classics and always more willing to listen to these guys, these gentlemen who are there today, showing their legacy, remembering the past and always creating and producing something new.
I always liked the classic lineup of the band with Blackmore, Gillan, Glover, Lord, Paice. I’m a fan of that training, not disparaging the other. Dude I was 12 and I was hooked with Machine Head, Blackmore considered a God, and always consider.
I’ll tell you, watching this show, day 11/15/2014 in Porto Alegre, Brazil was kind of surreal! Thanks, and also earned his friends who were together there.
