    Saw the early gig Friday night. As per usual, the seated room was individually and collectively blown away. My last visit to Iridium was over 7 years ago when I witnessed The Honourable Sir Les & Trio. At the end of He & his Trio’s set, he warmly signed a picture to me but as Fate would have it, a drink spilled on it while stopping midtown on the way back to Penn Station. Bummer for sure.

    As is the usual, even with a second gig at 10:30, He Who Remains In A League Of His Own, took time to meet and greet before the second show began. Something “Blackers” wouldn’t even conceive of doing. But he is nowhere near said He Who Remains In A League Of His Own. And that is with every bit of respect to “Blacker’s” prowess on the banjo….

    Back to Iridium tomorrow night to see The Greatest banjo player performing with Les’ Trio. How High The Moon anyone? :>
