Glenn cancels South American dates
According to the local promoters, three shows on Glenn Hughes’ South American tour will be rescheduled for March 2026, with new dates TBA. These are:
2025-11-23 Córdoba, Argentina
2025-11-25 Salta, Argentina
2025-11-25 Quilmes, Argentina
2025-11-27 Santiago, Chile
As Glenn explains himself, he has caught laryngitis and is unable to sing. The show in Córdoba on November 23 went ahead but had him playing bass only, whereas Salta Quilmes (the originally announced show in Salta on the same day was cancelled and rescheduled there) and Santiago were pulled altogether.
Here’s a short clip from Córdoba with audience doing the singing part:
Details of Santiago show postponement can be found on the promoter’s Instagram (their and the venue’s website have not been updated yet at the time of this writing).
The show on November 29 in Bogotá, Columbia, was cancelled earlier for unrelated reasons.
Thanks to Juan Flier and Daniel for the info.
[Updated Nov 27]: clearing up the confusion regarding the show on November 25, thanks to Daniel once again.

Unauthorized copying, while sometimes necessary, is never as good as the real thing
Tempus fuck it big time. Our heroes of teenage or yet even unborn days (eg Karin) seem to withstand the rigors of the road less and less – granted, Glenn has had a busy year and different climate zones are a bitch. Get well soon.
Of course, the naysayers here will say that Glenn playing bass without being able to sing is the best of both worlds for them …
Not that I would mind seeing a whole gig of Glenn just sitting on a stool and playing bass, he always has a few nice tricks up his sleeve.
November 27th, 2025 at 03:22The full Buenos Aires show from Nov 21 is now online. Glenn in fine voice there and he calls it the best audience he’s ever played for, which makes sense judging from the response. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZJ3B-xO5bH0

“…Glenn playing bass without being able to sing is the best of both worlds for them … ”
That’s because it is.
“Not that I would mind seeing a whole gig of Glenn just sitting on a stool and playing bass…”
I’d pay to see that. He’s a great bass player but his vocals for the most part make me cringe. I swear I would rather listen to this on an endless loop: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=968LmpBa18A
And for those of you here that celebrate it; Happy Thanksgiving. Let’s not forget about those that are less fortunate than we are… A little ditty about a guy who’s homeless and thinks he’s Jesus or sumthin’:

November 27th, 2025 at 11:30Happy turkey genocide then, Russ!
For some reason, I always thought that Dr Hook did the most touching songs (penned by their main outside songwriter, the great Shel Silverstein who also wrote A Boy Named Sue )on people who are down and out.

Yeah, Dr. Hook songs often remind us that the world ain’t such a nice place most of the time.
When I was a kid I had all of Shel Silverstein’s books… I loved ’em. When I was a little older I discovered his adult stuff via Playboy & from hearing songs on Dr. Demento’s radio program. Shel saw the world for what it is and that was the main fodder for his art.
Roald Dahl had a similar kinda thing going on. He wrote great children’s books and some hilariously funny adult-themed stuff as well. If you haven’t already (somehow I suspect you may have), read his book My Uncle Oswald.
I’m tryin’ really hard not to post any more links to songs about how fucked-up things can get for an induvidual. Lucky for you guy’s the #1 all-time winner (IMO) ain’t on YouTube.
Here’s something more uplifting that we all can relate to:

was made only a few days ago in the “He had his reasons …” thread concerning Ritchie – are you and Montague by any chance related or when did this global exodus of DP Family ticket buyers take place? 🤗
While commercial considerations can of course also curtail a tour, I’ve personally been to an under-promoted California Breed gig in a club in Mainz where not even a hundred people had assembled to join mass with The Voice of Rock – and Glenn delivered flamboyantly as if it was California Jam all over again. Glenn is so self-contained on stage that I sometime think that he would be putting on the same performance before an audience of zero! 😂
