Trouble with Rock Legends

The packaged Rock Legends Tour, featuring Joe Lynn Turner, among others, was supposed to take place in Germany and Austria throughout this October. The tour website now informs that for one reason or another it is not taking place. Some dates have been rebooked for late 2026 (some of those into smaller venues), others cancelled altogether.

In 2026 there will be new dates for “Rock Legends” in Dresden, Munich, Vienna, Berlin, Regensburg, Saarbrücken, Frankfurt, Duisburg, Cologne, Hamburg, Kempten — dates in Stuttgart, Linz, and Nuremberg will follow shortly. For production reasons, there are unfortunately no replacement dates for Augsburg, Rosenheim, Dortmund, Karlsruhe, Bremen, Braunschweig, Halle/Saale, Würzburg & Salzburg.

Tickets already purchased will remain valid or can be returned where they were purchased.

Our calendar has been updated accordingly.

Thanks to Ggg for the heads-up.

    Ggg says:

The obvious reason is that the tour was desperately undersold, approx 100-150 tickets were sold for each venue holding anything from 3k to 5-10k people.

JLT can ‘successfully’ continue his support towards Russia’s Putin, Belorussia’s Lukashenka, and any other dictators in the world. Crap.

Where does it say 100-150 tickets were sold?

@3 the interactive seating map of Eventim, the tour’s sole ticket seller, before it got cancelled/rescheduled.

The venues are too big, and the “‘Rock Legends’ are too small'”.

That list of artists for this tour came like 40 years too late. It was too American AOR/Hair Metal oriented – ever since we don’t have numerous US garrisons in the Rhine-Main Area anymore to protect us from the communist scourge, you can’t sell a respectable amount of tickets for this stuff. I remember gigs in the 70s and 80s where half the audience were GIs, bands like Journey, Ted Nugent, Quiet Riot, Twisted Sister or Blue Öyster Cult wouldn’t have toured Hesse without all the American Forces guys as reliable ticket buyers.

It’s not like the Cold War only had bad sides! 😎

I still have a Russian visa in my passport, maybe I’ll have to see Joe in Moscow at INTERVISION? 😂 Aw, shucks, I just read that the 2026 one will be in Riyadh, KSA, I don’t have a visa for there …
