    Yeah, I heard that quote too about his greater influence “back then”. But for chrissakes, they were together for 28 years, the majority of DP’s lifespan (Ritchie only managed 16 years and left in acrimony every time), you can’t expect personal dynamics to stay unchanged for such a long time.

    I continue to marvel at how much force Steve employs in his right hand when strumming and picking solo notes. Not aware of anyone else who plays that long (and that well) who hits the stings so mercilessly hard they fill the room even when he’s playing unplugged on an electric. I wonder if that habit contributed to his arm/wrist condition.
