GoodTimes_3-2026

German magazine GoodTimes has Deep Purple on the cover of their issue #3/2026, with a feature story inside.

The magazine also reviews Splat! in their blog online:

Following the philosophical approach of their 2024 album =1, Deep Purple have once again taken a conceptual approach to the lyrics on SPLAT!. But as with its predecessor, the first album with new guitarist Simon McBride, the songs are extremely catchy and, despite the typical Deep Purple twists and turns, have the ability to quickly become memorable. Even a jazzy number like “Guilt Trippin'” grabs you, presumably precisely because of its striking rhythmic structure and captivating instrumental solos. Ultimately, the word “typical” is crucial for the classic Deep Purple fan, because after this magnificent return to their 70s strengths, one naturally wants more. And that’s exactly what they get: If there are still any rock fans out there who don’t blindly toss Deep Purple albums into their shopping cart, they could give the killer “Jessica’s Bra” a listen beforehand, and they’ll know exactly what to expect.

Read it in original auf Deutsch, or in other languages courtesy of Google translation.

Thanks to Tobias Janaschke on both counts.
