Squarely cylindrical

revox Deep Purple Splat! merch

Along with the squarely analog, old school reel-to-reel tape deck and record player, Revox is also releasing a Deep Purple Splat! branded digital speaker.

The trio will be unveiled at the HIGH END audio show in Vienna, Austria, taking place June 4-7, 2026. Classic Rock reports that the band will be in attendance at the Revox booth on June 4 between 2-3pm.

The Revox/Deep Purple merch store also has “mater tape” reels (at eye-watering prices) with 16-page artwork that has just barely legible lyrics. Guess what — Jessica’s Bra is not about bra at all. As the story goes, “his name wasn’t Ted, and he wasn’t a mechanic either”…

Thanks to Tobias Janaschke for the heads-up, and to Stereo Guide for the additional info.

Herr MacGregor’s and AndreA’s senseless sonic snipes are immediately invalidated by how good A Bit On The Side sounds as the musical backdrop to that Revox clip. What’s not to like?!

Case closed, naval battle won. 🤗

The reel-to-reel deck is €20k but to ease the pain it comes with a studio master tape of the album lol!

The portable speaker has a model No. A200. I wonder if it’s a nod to the Burn track??
