Portable door to Saratoga
Here’s an almost complete recording of the Deep Purple show in Saratoga Springs, NY, on September 4, 2024. It’s an audience recording of exceptional quality, the only drawback is the audio mix that is relatively low on Hammond. Enjoy!
Thanks to RockinGator Live Music for posting this, and Uwe for bringing it to your attention.

Unauthorized copying, while sometimes necessary, is never as good as the real thing
Saw them a week later in Virginia.

Saw Purple a week earlier in Montreal…..a great performance!
November 4th, 2025 at 00:01when the first notes of Paice and Glover on Highway Star start and then everyone comes in up to Gillan, every time my adrenaline rises and I feel like I’m there in the audience!….a feeling that only Purple can give!

oh my God, now we will have swing in every discussion!
You’re too smart not to know that it’s the compositional mastery, and musical progression, that allows the song to create these indescribable vibrations.
few other songs give me that same feeling.
November 6th, 2025 at 14:53for example The Final Countdown or Jump, which have nothing to do with the 80s swing sounds, but are masterpieces of musical arrangement
I found The Final Countdown clinical and very Scandinavian, IKEA rock, don’t forget your Allen wrench. 😆
Jump, had something, but you could never play the darn thing in full at any rock disco because the weird meters/over-the-bar-playing in the solo ruined it for the dancers. They would just stand there dumbfounded and stop moving. 😂
Highway Star is nothing without Ian’s snare intro and that is swing, like it or not!
November 7th, 2025 at 00:09what we need is a live-album with DP and Mc Bride on vinyl, i´m waiting
