We’ve moved

If you are reading this, it means we have moved The Highway Star to a new server, which should hopefully be quite a bit more responsive then the old cranker. In the process we’ve also trimmed the fat a little by discontinuing parts of the site that have seen little to no activity in a while — we have closed our mailing lists and forum.

Apart from that, everything should work pretty much like in the old place. If you see something that doesn’t, let us know.

Truly yours,
the team

Yes to the Eddie6string comment! Good to see THS moving forward & I like the preview thing before posting a comment! Gets the brain thinking a bit more before putting the mouth into gear! Or shouldn’t that be the other way around? Oh well, you know what I mean. No doubt the moderator’s job may be made a little easier with the preview before posting thing! I could be a moderator, the only trouble is I wouldn’t let anyone else posts through, only mine! Now that’s what I call moderating! Cheers!

In the page “Bogus Deep Purple” you say about a concert in Texas unknown location. Let me tell You. it was at “La Villa Real”, McAllen, Texas. Sorry but I don’t remember the exact date. But I was there.

    @ Carlos:

Thank you for the information about the bogus Purp’s show at La Villa Real. Never heard of this performance before.
I run a website concerning the band, http://www.dpac.at/Bogus_Deep_Purple_1980.html

Would be great if you like to get in touch, perhaps to share some memories about this event.
    My email address is deepest70@hotmail.com

    All the best,

The current available edition of In Rock is 20 years old (not counting Japanese editions). Does anyone know if there’s going to be a new remaster in the foreseeable future?
