A breakdown of some of the DVD content. While certainly not faultless, this DVD provides such rich insight into Ian's way of working onstage and in the studio that we can only wish the other band members will endeavour to put together a similar documentary.

The DVD main menu
Some selections have submenus from which individual tracks/features are chosen.

A drummer's guide
Ian Paice takes us through his kit, visiting the different manufacturers whose products he endorses. We visit Paiste cymbals in Switzerland, Pearl drums in Japan, Remo drum heads and Pro-Mark sticks in the States.

A drummer's guide - more
Ian shows various basic techniques in drumming and talks about drumming in general, giving tips for beginners.
This pic: A hearing problem! Me? Er, sorry?

Abbey Road studio sessions
Paicesetters and Dustbins. Two tracks written and recorded especially for this DVD. They are very basic and designed to showcase some of Ian's technique. These tracks offer multiple viewing angles.

Mic'ing techniques
Deep Purple's live sound engineer extraordinaire Moray McMillan discusses the way he amplifies Ian's drums onstage. Ironically this interview is riddled by poor sound(!).

Roadieview
A number of complete and edited tracks showcasing a concentrated Ian battling it out onstage with Deep Purple. Filmed on the band's 2001 US tour, some are shot in daylight with a dirty camera lense. Includes "monitor problems" - a pointless inaudible conversation between Ian and his roadie, and a glimpse of Ian accidentally dropping a stick - marvel at the speed with which he grabs a replacement and soldiers on.

Ian Paice style drum clinic
A TV-style documentary from Ian's string of clinics in Australia in 1999. Much too short.
Australian interview
An interview with Ian with a feel of having been conducted for a different purpose than the DVD. But informative.
