The Special Edition Glenn sounds great on this recording, as does David, but I have to say the real star of the show is Ian Paice. Parts of this show are a shambles and Paice holds it together without missing a beat. "Gettin' Tighter" falls to pieces at one point as Bolin just gets lost and rasps the strings, with Tommy and everyone just stopping to regroup before Jon braves coming in, and Paice is there not missing a lick, saving the day. Also, I wonder what the problem was in "Stormbringer". Jon starts a solo with Tommy coming in and taking over, then Bolin lays back for Jon playing the rhythm part, but no Jon, so Tommy dives in and does another solo. Jon is then absent for parts of the rest of the song. Technical glitches?
