[ d e e p P u r . p l e ) The Highway Star

I had the pleasure to play soccer with the band (except Jon) in Waterberry Vermont. I recall it was the summer of '86, (they kicked our asses). They were recording HOUSE OF BLUE LIGHT.
We returned to the hotel pool to put down a few. Roger had just started smoking again (he said he smokes for every album) he must of smoked a pack an hour. Ian G. (whose hair was just getting long again) was super cool, he'll do anything for a shot and a joke. He tells me he likes and does record in the nude.
Ian P (Paicey)(love those purple shades)we talk about his first drum set.White just like Ringo.
Richie.... well... he plays soccer really well. He was to himself that day I did manage a little chat. He's a bit shorter than I had thought, but he sure can play.

All in all it was one of the greatest days of my life. I wish the best to the band (I know you guys look time to time) the best to to you, the fans... Oh... By the way, saw the show at the Saint-Denis Theater in Montreal (I love that venue) Welcome aboard Steve, all the best... Call me if you're in Montreal...

chow...
