Odd ditties : Back door possibilities : ARF2 : Germany : 1992 : 1CD

A collection of Odds and Sods, really. The guy responsible blamates himself by claiming that Ian Gillan and Rod Evans sang together on some of the tracks! The take of Beatles' The long and winding road, was a 1975 Deep Purple demo; David & Glenn are on backing vocals, Jon Lord on keyboards, along with Mark Stein (Tommy Bolin Band) who also does the lead vocals. Jon doesn't remember what session it was, though.

Tracks:

The Maze:
Harlem shuffle
Aria del sud
Non fatemi odiare

Episode Six:
Morning dew
I hear trumpets llow

(Beat Club 67, live)
Gentlemen of the park
(Les bicyclettes de Belsize soundtrack)

The Artwoods, BBC 1967:
In the deep end (+ Jon Lord Int.)
What shall I do
Day tripper
Steady gettin' It
Devil with the blue dress on
~ Good Golly Miss Molly (BBC '67)

Gene Vincent and the Outlaws, 16. Oct. 1968:
Catch a rat
Long tall Sally (16. Oct. '68)

Deep Purple:
Hush (Merv Griffin Show 16. Dec. 1968)
The painter
Speed king

Ian Gillan:
Cher Kazoo

Deep Purple demo (1975):
The long and winding road

Deep Purple & Nice ( Peace Pop Festival, Berlin, 30 March 1970):
Walking all down the line
Lucille

Rather bad and noisy sound! Some titles start or end a few seconds too late/early. But this CD contains rare things like The long and winding road and some dubious DP line-ups.
