My concert review of Deep Purple - Montreal 21.11.96

My ears are still buzzing after having been blown away by Deep Purple last evening. The last Purple show I attended was Slaves and Masters - Burlington Vermont. I was skeptical as to what to expect without Mr B. The show however was very good. The sound was excellent and Purple displayed a high level of energy. I must admit I am not too familiar with the Perpendicular album but nonetheless enjoyed the songs. Steve Morse is, in my opinion, a good player. His style and sound are different from R.B. but this is a new Deep Purple and in the words of Ian Gillan " The show must go on".

I was fortunate to meet Messieurs Gillan, Morse and Glover following the show. You could not meet nicer people. Many thanks to CH for the ticks and good luck for the rest of the tour. Rock on Deep Purple.
