Ireland & UK 2002 reviews

No. 1.

Many years since the band last played this venue, too many in our opinion.

The place was packed to the rafters and little wonder, there is a difference between the Deep Purple we loved back in the 1970s and today, that is, today they are much better. Steve Morse ... Well, what can you say? He is No. 1. Like fine wine they have matured into a class act, their music is as good today as it ever was. Nice touch with the picks and sticks. Looking forward to seeing you guys at The Pavillions in Plymouth on 4th March.

The Moose and The Monkey,
David Gatfield and Phil Brownlie
