A pick to let rib for The last time I saw Deep Purple, Blackmore walked off and they played the encore without him. At Cardiff 2002 the band were superb! Ian Gillan had throat trouble, hence no Child In Time, but they really are incredible live. I cracked a rib jumping for Roger's plectrum and met Ian Paice and Jon Lord after the show. They both signed my Knebworth ticket! A great night came to an end with a rank kebab, a bus home and my ears ringing to the best band in the world.
