Deep Purple

We'll, I just thought I would make a few comments on the show at Cuyahoga falls, Ohio. The show was scheduled at 7:00 but when I got there at 10 till 7 dream theater was just starting, so I missed a little of that show, but what I did see was good, those guys stay together very well. I was impressed! But they only played for about 40 minutes.
Now to ELP, I`m not to familiar with most of their stuff, but they were also very good, however they got a little repetitious at times with those long keyboard solos.
And now to DEEP PURPLE, I was a little worried because some of the other reviews were saying Gillan's voice was shot, not true when I saw him, he was great! He hit every note perfect! On Bludsucker his voice was better than it was on the Abandon version, I would say he sounded as good as he did on the IN ROCK version of Bludsucker. The rest of the band was also great!
The sound was perfect, you could here everyone in the band, no one was mixed to far down in the PA.
The new songs sounded impressive! I wish they would have done more of them. They did Watching the Sky, Almost Human, and Any Fule, off of abandon. Also Hush was taken off the set list, they opened the show with Ted and it sounded great! We'll there's not much more I can say other than go see them for yourself, and it was a great show well worth the four hour drive and 50 dollar ticket.
